Expanded Views

If you stop after seeing the basic "spouse and children" scenario, you're often missing the more complex and interesting parts of the Intestacy Calculators.

These expanded views of select Intestacy Calculators show each of the factors that may be considered and used to calculate the distribution of an intestate estate based upon each program's interpretation of the unique intestate laws of the state for which it has been created.

As each question is answered, the program evaluates the new and existing data to determine whether there is enough information to calculate the distribution.  If there is not sufficient information, the program determines the information that is most immediately relevant to making a calculation and displays the prompt which will gather that information.  This process continues until a distribution can be calculated and presented or there aren't any options remaining under the state's intestacy laws.

Note that these are inoperable images. To use the actual programs and see the effects of the intestate laws of a particular state under varied circumstances, open the Specific States page and choose a state from the listing.
