Maternal Aunt or Uncle of a Parent
Your
parent's maternal aunt or maternal uncle is your maternal
great-aunt or maternal great-uncle. This person must also
be a sibling to either one of your grandmothers.
When
determining your mother's maternal aunts and uncles, you will
only count your maternal grandmother's siblings. When
determining your father's maternal aunts and uncles, you will
only count your paternal grandmother's siblings.
You
have two (potential) sets of aunts and uncles: Those who are
your mother's siblings (maternal) and those who are your
father's siblings (paternal).
Similarly, each of your parents has two (potential) sets of
aunts and uncles, which means that you have four (potential)
sets of great-aunts and great-uncles.
