First Cousin Twice-Removed
There are
two distinct groups of relatives that can be correctly identified as "First
Cousins Twice-Removed."
First
Group
A first
cousin twice-removed is the child of your
great-great-aunt or great-great-uncle.
This person must also be a grandchild of any one of great-great-grandparents.
Second
Group
A first
cousin twice-removed also identifies the grandchild of one of your
first cousins.
When answering the
Intestacy Calculator questions regarding living "first cousins twice-removed"
count all living members of both groups.
This is sometimes
confusing, as there may be a great difference in ages of two people who are each
correctly identified as a first cousin once-removed.
